The essence of Zen is: to see who you really are, exactly as you are. Mostly, we form all kinds of ideas about ourselves and the world around us. Zen is seeing reality, which cannot be caught in ideas, thoughts and concepts.

After 20 years of Rinzai-Zen training under Shodo Harada Roshi, the One Drop Zendo Munich was opened. We would like to support all those sincerely interested in practising, without any sectarian concerns. People of any faith, - or none, are welcome. The fundamental point is to get to the bottom of what we call ourselves. Then work from there.

For this we offer regular zazen, introductions for beginners, lectures, workshops, mini-sesshins, weeklong sesshins for experienced practitioners and all-night sittings. While Zazen (sitting-meditation) is a vital part of our practise, we emphasize creatively integrating our practise into our everyday lives.

We offer the possibility to attend 7-day-Sesshins lead by Shodo Harada Roshi which are alternately held in Denmark, Poland, Switzerland, Germany and Hungary in mid-January and mid-July. (see events, sesshins)
